About

A regional nonprofit, built neighborhood by neighborhood

Las Vegas Arbor Society (LVAS) has filed for 501(c)(3) status, and our whole reason for existing is more tree canopy across Southern Nevada — planted, and actually kept alive. Here’s the idea we started with: you don’t green a desert city with one big park. You do it with thousands of people planting and caring for trees on the block they already live on.

Here’s how it’s split up: LVAS handles the nonprofit status, the fundraising, and the technical side of things. Each neighborhood chapter — starting with the Las Vegas Country Club Estates Arbor Society — brings the people who actually know the block and are willing to do the work.

Our Story

LVCCEAS started with a handful of Las Vegas Country Club Estates residents asking a pretty simple question: why did their streets have less shade than neighborhoods built decades before theirs? One HOA beautification conversation later, it’s the founding chapter of what LVAS is today.
